COLONEL MAHIP CHADHA was commissioned in 1966 into The Second Battalion The Third Gorkha Rifles; one of the finest battalions in the world which had the honour of winning two Victoria Crosses in WWI.
The battalion saw action in both the World Wars returning to India after a final stint in Pakistan, and was taken over by Indian Officers at Ferozepore. Colonel Chadha retired in Jun 2000, after which he worked in various jobs till he finally retired as the President of Helios Aviation. He turned to writing after the demise of his wife Kiran in 2010.
Richard Barton was born in 1948 in a mining town of Walbrzych, Poland. In his youth he found himself on the collision course with the communist system. In 1972, he had a long-awaited chance to defect in Great Britain. Upon his defection in the US Embassy in London he was stunned to learn that Americans did not want him to fight against the Vietcong in Vietnam. After one year of living in Britain he moved to Australia. He is a graduate of the University of New England in Armidale and holds two degrees in Social Sciences. He is a world traveler and keen on photography.
