About Herge |
Georges Prosper Remi was a popular Belgian cartoonist known by the pen name Herge.
Herge has also written The Adventures of Tom and Millie, Flup, N?nesse, Poussette and Piglet, They Explored the Moon, Mr. Bellum, Land of Black Gold, and Cigars of the Pharaoh.
Herge graduated from secondary school in 1925, and was employed as an illustrator at The Twentieth Century, a Belgian newspaper based in Brussels. The cartoonist was married twice, first to Germaine Kieckens, and then Fanny Vlamynck. He passed away in 1983.
