Dr. Satyanarayan Pattanayak holds a Ph.D. from the Centre for West Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and is currently Associate Research Fellow, Centre for Strategic Studies and Simulation, United Service Institution of India (USI-CS-3), New Delhi. Besides authoring a book on Egypt Policy of Nonalignment: A Comparative Study of Nasser and Post-Nasser Period (New Delhi: Classical Publishing Company, 2000)and Co-authoring a Monograph on Persian Gulf States and the 9/11 Attacks: An Analysis (New Delhi: Anamaya and IDSA, 2004) he has presented papers both in national and international seminars.
