About the Book :
Since ancient India, the leading scientists had contributed
immensely to the revolutionary progress made in the fields of science and
technology. Today, the intellectual evolution in our country is seen in limited
areas of developmental work.
The empowerment of Indian youth depends on the technological progress that can
reform the policies of economic competitiveness and social prosperity by
bringing in newer and ground breaking changes. In the future of India the
budding intellectual minds, therefore, can play a crucial role by igniting the
spark lying within the human potential to reach the pinnacle of glory in our
nationhood.
About Author :
Four technologies are going to drive the future world and future India- bio- technology, nano- technology, information technology and environment technology. But these are not to be seen as separate from one another. Combination of the four will drive the world. I saw a nano-robot recently in Seoul. It was made by experts who had worked in all these four fields. Once injected into the body, it seeks our diseased cells, remove it, and get digested into the system. India also has to identify its core competencies and then collaborate with others, like the case of the BrahMos programme. The core competencies of India and Russia have been brought together to develop and manufacture the world`s one and only supersonic cruise missile. India has a lot to share with the world. That is what we are seeing in the Pan-African e-network in which India and 53 nations are participating.
This book examines some of the innovations and creative technological thoughts of our ancient scientists, and the new concepts that are related to the same. We have a creatively endowed population. Populations is our strength. We have 580 million youth who are a great resource. If some of them can trace back the genius of the past, we can ensure a glorious future. This book identifies ten critical technologies in which India can excel.
